Angela is an event project management director who strategically oversees large-scale projects, understands the power of collaboration and is driven by the opportunity to motivate and innovate. In 2015, Angela became the youngest chairperson of Major American Trade Show Organizers (MATSO) Council while serving as ex-officio for the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE). MATSO members are comprised of exhibitions with at least 200,000 NSF of exhibition space. The IAEE MATSO Council works to develop best practices unique to major trade shows and release position statements on challenges/issues/current circumstances that impact the major trade events and exhibitions overall in support of face-to-face meetings. As MATSO chair, Angela formed a Challenges Task Force to evolve the large show event model. Angela's role recently evolved to facilitate new opportunities for growth and value of her organization's portfolio of Gold 100 shows through strategic planning and partnerships. Her chief skills include: Conveying the Big Picture, Developing Relationships, Planning and Critical Thinking, Challenging the Status Quo, Organizing and Multitasking, Inspiring Others, and Communicating. Angela is an established public speaker. heard at Expo! Expo!, BizBash, and ASA. Her topics focus on best practices for engineering successful experiential and inclusive events. Angela has her CEM certification and is an esteemed alumni of the IAEE Krakoff Leadership Institute.
