How Eventex is fighting the good fight - our growing sustainability efforts

A few years back we completely changed our approach to organizing Eventex Awards, in order to be as sustainable as possible. As difficult as that was, it was the responsible thing to do as a company.

100% online and rockin’ it

In 2018 we decided to go 100% online with Eventex Awards and haven’t looked back ever since. We did it to be more sustainable and reduce our footprint - let’s just say it worked! To name a few key benefits, suddenly we were using considerably less materials, logistics were kept down to a minimum, and no food service meant no post-ceremony mountains of waste!  The added value was this also made the competition more accessible to everyone, so Eventex Awards has kept growing exponentially ever since!

All-in on digital goods

Of course, when you win something you want something to show for it. On top of earning the bragging rights in the industry, we’ve prepared some lovely digital goods you can use to make the best of your achievements on the channels that matter.

Certificate of excellence

Being shortlisted as one of the Eventex Awards finalists gets you a certificate of excellence. You can print it, frame it, and hang it on the wall in your office like a boss. Maybe even take a picture with it - it’d make for an excellent post on popular social media channels like Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, etc.

Digital seal

As a finalist you also get an official digital seal to use on your website, in emails, etc. In today’s age when everything is done via the Internet, this remains a great way of improving your company’s image and gaining more business opportunities.

PR materials provided

Yes, there will be PR templates to go along with the other digital goods. You can use them as they are, or edit them to your liking. Either way, they’re a great way to bring more attention to your achievements.

Promotion via our social media channels

Another way we’ll try to do justice to your Eventex Awards participation is through our own social media channels. It’s an excellent opportunity for you to reach our massive international audience.

Winners trophy, of course

The Eventex Awards trophies are a key part of our strategy, of course, so we wanted to share some more information about these symbols of excellence that have become the most sought after award in the industry. For this edition of the competition, we are again partnering with Barcelona’s excellent OiKo Design Office to create a fully recyclable trophy. Sure, it’s not exactly made of sugar, spice, and everything nice, but it’s close. The main part is recycled plastic from post-consumer packaging plastic waste - the material is processed into a new one with unique properties, amazing texture and high weight. The complementary material is an iron sheet with high recycled content as well, painted with water-based black paint. And of course the icing on the cake - the stylish Eventex Awards symbol that is synonymous with excellence.Although the Eventex Awards trophies are made of recycled and recyclable materials, they still require a lot to be produced. Then, they have to be carefully packaged and sent across the globe to be transported to their destinations. It’s the opposite of sustainable and we felt it’s time to reduce our footprint even further. That’s why trophies are no longer sent by default to all winners - Platinum and Gold award winners can request a free trophy while Silver, Bronze and People’s Choice awards can be ordered additionally.

We couldn’t be happier with our “green” trophies!
