Val Delaney is the Executive Vice President (Executive Director) of Association of Destination Management Executives International (ADMEI) – the global voice of the Destination Management industry. ADMEI is the premier resource for education, standards, and practices for the industry and is the trusted partner in the certification of Destination Management professionals (DMCP) and the accreditation of Destination Management companies (ADMC). www.admei.org
Val brings both an entrepreneurial spirit and creative problem-solving to everything she does. Her focus on customer service, project management, process improvement, and accounting and financial management has led to her success in working with both not-for-profit and for-profit organizations.
Prior to joining ADMEI, Val held leadership positions with associations such as The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Safari Club International, and Construction Owners Association of America. She has planned meetings, conferences, and conventions ranging in size from 25 to 20,000 attendees; developed and managed budgets ranging in size from $500K to $24M; and managed website and technology solutions for both not-for-profit and for-profit institutions.
Val is co-owner of The Valisade Group, an association management company that specializes in helping small and medium associations grow and prosper. She and her husband Mike founded Delaney Guitars, a custom guitar brand.
In her off time, Val enjoys creating artwork for commissioned custom and theme guitars and attending live music shows containing Delaney Guitars artists.
