Taubie is an experienced strategic executive with over 30 years’ experience in senior and executive management.
She holds a Masters’ degree in Global Marketing from the University of Liverpool (UK), as well as a BA in Communication from North West University (South Africa).
Her current role is CEO of the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC). In this role, Taubie is responsible for the strategic direction and management of this world-class, 5-star rated venue.
She is an Executive Director of the CTICC Board, Treasurer & Board Member of the International Association of Convention Centres (AIPC), as well as African Chapter Chairperson of the of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA).
She is a speaker and guest lecturer on business events.
Her career has been forged in both the private and public sector, in the areas of Tourism and Destination Marketing, Events Management, Customer & Stakeholder Management, Communications, Public Relations, Broadcasting (TV), Print Media, and General Business Management.
She has worked in varied institutions ranging from Consumer & Building Councils, Television, Newspaper, Central & Commercial Banks, Municipalities, to Convention & Visitor Bureaux (CVBs), Conference Venues, Hotel and Associations.
