Dr. Steffen Ronft is considered as the leading university lecturer in event psychology and conducts research on the psychology of perception in an event context. He is also active as an author, consultant and speaker. As editor of the standard handbook ´Eventpsychologie´ (2021) and co-author of the Gabler Business Dictionary, he is a pioneer of this interdisciplinary approach and was honored for this with the MICEInnovation&Trend Award.
He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration with focus on trade show, congress and event management, a master's degree in business psychology and conducted doctoral research on the psychological impact of physical and virtual event spaces.
For more than four years, he researched and taught as academic staff in the trade fair, congress and event management program at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) and as deputy laboratory manager at the Center for Empirical and Experimental Business Administration (ZEEB) in Mannheim. Today, as lecturer at SRH Fernhochschule - The Mobile University, he is responsible for the first ECTS accredited module on event psychology in a university distance learning program and encourages the integration of artificial intelligence technologies (AI) in the context of live communication. Alongside his lecturing activities, he advises professionals and companies on the psychological optimization of events, trade fair booths and AI/ virtual environments.
