Rutger Hoorn is an accomplished event industry professional, content creator, relationship builder, explorer, and father of 3. Traveling throughout the year to connect and build lasting relationships, Rutger ensures that memorable event experiences are created for his 100+ Ovation Global DMC destinations, as Vice President Global Sales & Strategic Partnerships.
Rutger started for Ovation in Spain when he moved to Switzerland in 2013, where he led Ovation Switzerland DMC for 5 years. In 2018 he moved to New York taking on the current role in which he leads 100+ offices in global account management plus keeping an impressive amount of 80+ strategic partners on board of the large vessel called Ovation Global DMC. Rutger is currently a Trustee Board member with the Incentive Research Foundation. Passionate about events of all sizes and shapes, Rutger is CIS, CITP and DES certified. In 2020 and 2021 Rutger was named amongst the top 100 Most Influential People in the Events Industry.
