Born in Camargue, South of France, in September 1960, Rémy Cregut is a man with a diverse and rich professional background. Between 1984 -1996 he occupied senior sales and marketing positions at Accor-Sofitel, Hyatt Hotels and Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts in Paris, Lyon, Roissy and Casablanca (Morocco). He subsequently created Disneyland Paris Business Solutions, acting as a director for 3 years, and then moved to the Côte d’Azur to open the Grimaldi Forum Monaco in 2000. Two years later he became Executive Vice-President of LSO International the largest destination management company in France at that time. Before moving to his current position in Montreux, Switzerland, he was heading Center Parcs Business Solutions in Rotterdam. In 2005 Rémy accepted the role of General Manager of the 2m2c Montreux Music and Convention Center, host of the famous long-lasting Montreux Jazz Festival. Remy had been serving on different boards: Casablanca Convention Bureau, Atout France Convention Bureau, Founder and Honorary President of the MPI French Chapter since 1997, member of the MPI Foundation European Council, Levenement, City Destination Alliance and Switzerland Convention & Incentive Bureau. He now seats in various committee such as the Swiss Convention Centers Alliance, the Swiss Riviera Economic Development Office, the Swiss Riviera Hotels Association, the Montreux Riviera Convention Bureau, and Coésio.
During his long career, Remy has been involved in the widest range of events you can imagine, from prestigious music festival to sports event such as 1998 FIFA World Cup and Tour de France in 1997, but also European car launch for Opel and Mercedes, major exhibitions, conventions for Compaq, Nestlé, IBM, LVMH, Kerring or Bouygues. At the 2m2c, he was the host the 2007 Weather Satellite European Congress, the 2008 Swiss Dental Congress, the UEFA EURO 2008™, , the “Sommet de la Francophonie” in 2010 (1600 delegates from 60 countries, 600 journalist and 38 head of States from French speaking countries), the 2012 UN Conference on Afghanistan, the 2012 & 2013 edition of Festival of Media Global, the 2014 UN Conference for Peace in Syria, European Fencing Championship in 2015, the Hydro Congress 2016, the 2020 Swiss Economic Forum or the 2021 UEFA Annual Congress.
Remy is the father of two sons, Jean 24 y/o and Martin 27y/o. He is now French and Swiss citizen, and he has been elected in 2020 “Conseiller Consulaire des Français de l’Etranger” (French Republic local elected official for the French resident in Switzerland).
