Jose Ferreras adds up over 30 years plus of MICE experience. A graduate of Tourism from Niagara University, New York in 1980 and since, it has been a non-stop passion for the MICE industry. By 1985 Jose opened an Incentive Travel House which later grew with offices in Chicago and Mexico City producing and delivering over 50 Incentive Travel programs and 30 Corporate Meetings annually in a global basis for over 18 most successful years. Following that, Jose joined the hospitality world for another 10 years including IHG, Ritz Carlton Hotels, Starwood Hawaii and Melia Hotels in the area of improving Catering and Convention Services. Most recent as a MICE Media expert and a Latam Tourism Consultant for Questex Media, The Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism, Marriott and IHG Hotels and the Costa Rica Tourism Bureau.Jose's passion also includes a proud ICCA member, a Champion for CMP in Latin America since 1993, a SITE member for over 35 years and the Latin American Region Director for Sponsorships and Strategic Alliances, co-founder with Questex Media of the Latin America Incentive Travel Exchange (LAMITE) and most recent awarded one of the 15 most influential Meeting Industry Executives of Latin America by World Meeting Forum. Jose is a vivid advocate for Green and Sustainable Meetings.Jose lives between Puerto Rico and Costa Rica, practice a healthy and fitness lifestyle and has a love for amazing destinations such as Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Hawaii, New Zealand, Spain and Turkey a true Road Warrior has flown over 3 million air miles and now with a Platinum For Life Status.
