Ines Antti-Poika

Ines Antti-Poika is the head of the Finland Convention Bureau where she is responsible for marketing Finland as a destination for international congresses and business events. Finland is ranked among the top 20 most popular congress countries in the world by UIA. Finland Convention Bureau is a part of Visit Finland inside Business Finland.

Ines has worked for the meetings industry for 20+ years. She started her career as Marketing Manager at the Helsinki Convention Bureau where her duties included marketing activities for the corporate sector, organization and coordination of events and fam trips as well as marketing communications. In 2012 she was appointed as Convention Director for Helsinki Marketing with the main responsibility including international association meetings and partnership networks within the local meetings industry. In March 2019 Ines started as a Manager of Business Events at Finland Convention Bureau. She has also worked as a lecturer of meetings and travel management at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki.

In 2016 Ines was voted Leading Sales Professional by the buyers at the M&I Forum. She is an active member of MPI Finland since 2006 and has also served in the board of directors at SITE Chapter Finland as Vice President (2013-2015). She has as well been a member of the advisory board of Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences for four years.

Ines is passionate about events, sustainability, design and good coffee. Ines holds a Master’s degree in Translation studies and communication from the University of Tampere, Finland. When not at work, she loves to read, travel and do sports.
