She is Miona Milic: editor-in-chief, project manager, content creator, event professional and one of Eventex Awards judges this year! How does your job relate to the event industry?As an editor-in-chief of SEEbtm magazine, my team and I are working on creating and raising awareness of the meeting industry in Southeast European region. We are doing researches, case studies, event organization - examples from practice, interviews – regional and worldwide expert opinions etc. In this way, we have influence on creating and following trends in the event industry and connecting event professionals in the region.As one of the project managers for www.kongresniturizam.com / www.SEEmice.com – on-line event planners guide for South-Eastern Europe, together with other project managers and the rest of our team, we are creating SEE network of meeting suppliers and connect them with regional buyers through marketing and direct recommendation.What are your most important duties?Leading every issue of SEEbtm magazine trough thinking of cover story and articles, editorials and researches to follow it, writing some articles, cover page designs and so on.I’m also responsible for content and visual appearance of www.kongresniturizam.com / www.SEEmice.com, www.SEEbtm.com and SEEbtm magazine.Last but not least, creating engaging activities for people in the meeting industry, including marketing and promo materials.How do you describe your work style?I’m a dedicated professional with an emphasis on creativity, uniqueness, responsibility and teamwork.What motivates you to judge Eventex Awards?The possibility of using my experience in giving recognition to the achievements of others, and hopefully, giving some useful advice and motivation to the contestants.How do you recognize a winner?It depends on what is evaluated, but the idea itself and the realization should be simple but powerful; economically beneficial while socially and environmentally responsible. I’m looking into projects with creative, unique and fun spices.If you ask me how do I recognize a winner as a person, the answer is - in their attitude.What do you find unforgivable in an application?Lack of creativity.Your advice to contestants?Believe in yourself. Be persistent. Don’t let the success of others discourage you. Use it to encourage yourself. But also, be aware that things always can be done better.What aspect of event planning inspires you the most?After all, it’s obvious that I would say creativity. Today’s challenge and a ‘must’, is to make great events with less money. And how can you accomplish that? Through creativity and exceptional knowledge of the market.
