Eventex Awards’ Trophy is Made of Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice

Eventex Awards is more than a competition recognizing excellence in the field of events. Through the years, the awards have become an industry showcase of the best practices, the most original ideas, and the top innovations of today.

The 8th global event awards are shaping up to be bigger and better than ever, and we wanted to share an interesting insight about the winners trophy. For this edition of Eventex Awards we are partnering with Barcelona’s excellent OiKo Design Office to create a fully recyclable trophy.

Materials

It’s not literally made of sugar, spice, and everything nice. The main material of the trophy is recycled plastic from post-consumer packaging plastic waste. Less recyclable fraction of domestic waste is processed into a new material with unique properties, amazing texture and high weight. The complementary material is iron sheet painted with waterbased gold and silver paint. The iron is a very heavy and stiff material with high recycled content. In fact, it is the most recyclable material in the world.Previous trophies have been inspired by basic geometric forms and the Eventex logo. For this edition we’re going with a hummingbird shape, the new symbol of Eventex Awards, cut on a 90º bent sheet and assembled on a square totem.

We couldn’t be happier with our new “green” trophies!In nature, hummingbirds are resilient, swift and adaptable. They are also very independent and capable of some amazing feats, like travelling great distances and flying backwards! We feel it’s a great representation of what it takes nowadays to be successful event or live communication professionals, meeting planners, and promoters. It’s all about energy, dedication and persistence in producing the original and the innovative.Even if you don’t win an award, there are still many reasons to participate in Eventex Awards. Official certificate of excellence

Being shortlisted as an Eventex Awards finalist gets you a certificate of excellence. Print it, frame it, and hang it on the wall in your office, then take a picture with it and post it on popular social media channels like Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, etc.

Digital seal

As a finalist you also get a digital seal to display on your website, in emails, etc. The digital seal is an excellent way of improving your company’s image and gaining more business.

For the 8th edition of the awards we are going 100% online. This makes Eventex Awards not only more accessible to everyone, but also reduces the competition’s footprint tenfold.
