What was your first job?On a dairy farm in Upstate NY!
If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?Pizza.
If you could go back in time and talk to your 20-yr. old self for 15 seconds, what would you tell?Always trust your gut instinct and never be afraid to speak up for what you feel strongly about. Doing the right thing, even when no one is watching, will always bring the right thing to you (part of that was actually Oprah, but it’s my mantra).
What is your superpower in business?I see the potential in ideas and can craft them into actionable, viable blueprints for success.
The only way to achieve the impossible is…...to never stop trying. Closed door? Open a window. There is always a way.
Your formula for a successful event…Planning. Plan for the expected, the unexpected, and then add Plans F, G, H…. But be willing to be flexible and modify on the fly should the need arise.
Who would play you in a movie?I hope they pick someone amazing to play me, like Charlize Theron or Margot Robbie. They both have such range!
The event of your dreams….I love celebrations, so an over-the-top awards show with full orchestra, surprise entertainment, jaw-dropping theatrics and a menu that makes even the skinny girls eat.
What is the future of events?I see more tech in the future of events, but I sincerely hope we find a way to balance the human interaction portion of it so that is not lost – it’s vital in live events.
The best advice you ever received?Surround yourself with great people…. they are a direct reflection of you.
What are you fully devoted to?I am fully devoted to raising the bar, transparency, and holding companies and individuals accountable.
What is the price of success?Only you can determine the price of success. Is it time? Is it energy? Sacrifice? It’s all up to you what success looks like and what you are willing to do to achieve it.Kate`s Instagram @katepatay
