Rachel Russell

Assistant Director, Field Marketing at EY

Rachel Russell leads the Entrepreneur Of The Year® Greater Los Angeles program, which recognizes business leaders in 145 cities and 60 countries throughout the world. Past winners include the CEOs of Amazon, Dell, Home Depot, LinkedIn, Spanx, and Starbucks. As the Assistant Director, Field Marketing at EY, Rachel is responsible for the firm's marketing strategy and brand recognition in the Los Angeles market.

Prior to joining EY, Rachel spent 7 years at Deloitte, collaborating with the West Region Managing Partner on corporate sponsorships, live events, and partnerships with global brands. During the pandemic, she spearheaded the transition from in-person to virtual events, delivering a first-class client experience and building brand eminence.

Rachel’s greatest strengths are her creativity, drive and organization. She thrives on challenges in fast-paced work environments and has a passion for establishing meaningful connections with others.

Rachel has been honored by many organizations for her work in marketing and events. In 2023, she was named Marketer of the Year by the American Business Awards and received the Smart Women in Meetings Award. In 2022, Rachel was recognized by the Los Angeles Lakers and Comerica Bank as a Women’s Business Award recipient and earned the bronze Stevie Awards for Women in Business. Other honors include being named on the BizBash 40 Under 40, Bizzabo Top Event Experience Leaders, and Top Event Marketers of North America.

Regarded as an industry expert, Rachel has been featured in publications such as the Los Angeles Business Journal, theSkimm, and USC Marshall News. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the nonprofit, Arts Bridging the Gap, and is on the jury panel for the Global Eventex Awards, Best of America Small Business Awards, and Global Power Women Awards.

Rachel is a graduate of the University of Southern California and majored in Business of Cinematic Arts, taking classes in both the Marshall School of Business and the School of Cinematic Arts. While at USC, she was selected for a Weekend with Warren Buffett, attending a Q&A session at Berkshire Hathaway and touring Buffett's businesses. Rachel has also completed an Executive Education program at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
