Daniel Bruin

Executive Director, XCOM

Daniel Bruin is an experienced communication executive and journalist. He worked for 20 years in the main media outlets in Brazil, writing about finance, media and marketing. He entered corporate communications in 2001, as a comms executive at companies such as Nestlé, Santander and Toshiba. Since 2014 he has been a partner at XCOM, one of the most original and successful PR agencies in Brazil.

He got specialization in the University of Navarra (Spain), was a journalism professor for eleven years and in recent years he has been teaching crisis and reputation management in several MBA and postgraduate courses.

He is co-author of the book “Consumers Buy Reputation and Not Products” (2021) and author of “Business Reputation: Challenges and Pitfalls in Corporate Image Management” (2024). He was a board member of the Public Relations World Alliance (PRWA) and The International Communications Consultancy Organization (ICCO). He was president of the Brazilian Association of Communication Agencies (Abracom) between 2020 and 2024, and is currently a member of its board.
