The Dubai World Cup Closing Ceremony

The closing ceremony marked the end of one of the world's most prestigious horse races. Drones, augmented reality, acrobatic gliders, pyrotechnics, and aerial fireworks were synchronized to original music for spectators at the 80,000-capacity racecourse and millions watching via global broadcast.

The brief was to design, direct and deliver a spectacular, energetic “never-before-seen” technically-driven closing ceremony to mark the end of the racing season. AIM conceived a creative combination of innovative technologies to meet the brief and make the event stand out, including tributes to horse racing, the Dubai World Cup, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai and the UAE.
