Tracey Smith began her meeting planning career at a small software company in Dallas. She served on the local MPI board of directors and the MPI International Marketing Committee. She was named Planner of the Year in 2001. After transferring to the Twin Cities in 2003, Smith served on that MPI chapter's board. She worked for Garrett Speakers International from 2006-2010, during which time she was named Supplier of the Year by the MPI chapter. During that time, Smith volunteered with SPIN and helped plan the first three annual conferences, SPINCon. The first conference won Meeting Magazine's Event of the Year. Since 2018 Smith has been the Executive Director of SPIN, innovating many of the association's member benefits.Smith currently lives in the Austin, TX, area with her super-supportive husband and two office manager dogs.FacebookLinkedIn
