Having a strong desire to use her education in journalism, Marketing and writing skills to contribute to the Tourism industry in Sri Lanka, together withher late mother they launched Sri Lanka’s first ever Travel Trade monthly publication titled “Travel Talk” in 2003. Over the past 16 years the publicationhas grown to be one of the most sought secured international media partnerships and official media status at the world’s leading Travel Tradeforums.The aim of launching Travel Talk was to provide the travel industry in Sri Lanka with a comprehensive news based magazine which highlights the rapidlychanging landscape of tourism while promoting the country at the leading travel trade shows across the globe.To date, Travel Talk is the ONLY travel trade magazine published in Sri Lanka and it continues to highlight the industry with positive endorsements from theSri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, The Convention Bureau, the Ceylon Hotels Associations, The Pacific Asia Travel Association and SKAL InternationalColombo.In 2006, she launched Sri Lanka’s first dedicated parenting magazine titled “Mum&Me” which remains to date as the most widely circulated publicationamong hospitals and support service sectors relating to the subject area. Working together with professionals in the industry, she has put together ateam of contributors to provide readers with the latest information in the parenting forum.She serves as the Vice President of SKAL Club International Sri Lanka and has been a board member since 2016. SKAL is a professional organisation oftourism leaders around the world promoting global tourism and friendship. Dinushka also serves as Vice President of the North American Women’s’Association which is a Non-profit organisation engaged in social work to improve the lives of women in Sri Lanka.In her capacity, as co-founder of Doubledee Publications she was selected to participate at the Global Entrepreneur Summit in Silicon Valley USA in 2016 andwas a member of the Sri Lanka delegation that attended the Commonwealth Business Forum in the UK in 2018 “I am an entrepreneur and driven by a desire to travel and connect the world through cross promotional activities and highlight the many facets of the travel and tourism industry”
