When the Sundance Film Festival decided to hold its 2021 celebration virtually, a new challenge was born. Lacy Maxwell Experiential in Partnership with Dell Technologies pivoted together to emulate the experience virtually and craft an entirely new Sundance Film Festival experience.
Before Sundance Film Festival decided to pivot to virtual, Lacy Maxwell Experiential in Partnership with Dell Technologies had spent the previous 5 months planning the #DellTechDen - their annual experience situated on Main Street in Park City, Utah.
LME had simultaneously spent the last year+ developing their own internal virtual platform which they dubbed the “Integrated Virtual Archetype.” The IVA hosted an ‘inception-like’ platform within a platform existing inside of the Sundance Film Festival’s virtual main street. The UX had to be redesigned from the ticketholder's perspective as well as the clients and the teams tailored new ways to engage through a virtual “LIVE” immersive experience.
